For the last couple years, BetOnline and the Las Vegas Wynn have set the college football betting market by releasing openers, albeit at smaller limits, on Sunday afternoons.
Today, to the surprise of many, Bookmaker (CRIS) released point spreads for every game at 6:30 a.m. PT., opening limits at $2,000 and quickly moving to $5,000 on select games after receiving early two-way action.
It remains to be seen if this will continue, but if so, today marks the return of Bookmaker being the place “where the line originates,” the long-time slogan for the offshore book.
The market ramifications, both offshore and in Vegas, could be far-reaching.
