FantasyAces launches DFS golf, becomes latest site to go all-in on fast-growing sport

In April, DraftKings hosted the first-ever golf Millionaire Maker, which brought in more than $3 million in entry fees and sold out before the event officially started.

DFS Golf’s popularity has continued to rise in the two months since. DraftKings’ weekly users has increased tenfold, with prize pools reaching up to $300,000. Victiv, DraftDay and FantasyFeud also offer golf contests with their own unique twist.

Now, there’s a new entry into the DFS Golf market as FantasyAces officially launched its full PGA product on Monday.

The move is the latest of many for FantasyAces—which could soon become part of a publicly traded corporation—and should help the DFS upstart increase its popularity.

While FanDuel and DraftKings are the clear market leaders, sites like FantasyAces are desperate to position themselves as the No. 3 site in the pecking order.

Creating a user-friendly golf product could factor prominently into the site’s growth.

The initial impression of FantasyAces golf was well received thanks to their easy-to-follow scoring system. They also did an overhaul to their website and mobile interface to improve cosmetics.

While it remains to be seen if FantasyAces golf will become a big hit on the level of DraftKings and other sites, it seems off to a solid start.
