Just updating the totals here, but a comment about my latest bet post. I earlier wrote "I think that Italy is going to win this match by 70 points" but deleted it to keep this page nice and clean. Wish I had wrote it after the final score of 85-15 came through. After that result, the lines for Japan v Russia on September 20th jumped by around 7 to 10 points. I actually rebet it at -30.5 and think there is still value at -33.5. I probably wouldn't bet it above -40. The Russians sent out their top side, were not roided up as I feared, didn't look fit in the second half, and could not keep their shape defensively. Japan will need to run up the score in the first match of the tournament and have lots of rest after so they will send out a top side against the Russians. Further, the Russians just forfeited their upcoming match against Georgia, and will only play against a mid-table minor league team as their only further prep for the world cup.
