Very Sad situation but in my experience this is WAY too long to keep someone with Tony’s resources and not make a demand. It is also possible that K&R wouldn’t cover 5d because of its legal gray area, but that wouldnt delay a demand. Hopefully he is still alive and if they have failed to gag him, making his tormentors’ lives miserable.

Like who? Falsely reporting a serious crime in CR is not a charge he needs.

"Tony, who owned and managed the operation is a good friend of mine. I was his guest twice in recent years at his condo near Jaco, Costa Rica. Both times I went, Tony was extremely gracious, generous, and down to earth. Between trips, we communicated by Skype. My last communication with him was on September 8. Despite running a huge organization, he always seemed to have time to chat and liked being challenged with a good math puzzle.

This morning, I learned that Tony was kidnapped on September 24. Based on two reports in the media, the captors demanded a ransom, which was paid. However, Tony was never released or seen from again, as far as anyone knows.".....Michael Shackleford, math wiz and actuary.

Just forum morons throwing shit out there. As far as i know, he didnt report himself kidnapped. That charge would be put on his misses Tony. BTW, anyone know why he goes by Tony?

The charge would also apply to him as being complicit to a hoax. I always thought he wanted to be a mob wiseguy, thus the name Tony. Kinda like a South Philly guy.

"Today Creighton’s body was found, and as per our sources the strong suspicion is that he was a victim of a kidnap- for- hire scheme hatched by someone very close to him. Cause of death is yet to be established. Creighton’s wife allegedly had the ransom money wired to a family member of hers, reportedly the lesser $750,000 request.
The OIJ will be investigating further, and report their conclusions in the coming week. Fellow sportsbook operation owners in Costa Rica have expressed their sadness and regret at Creighton’s tragic death." source CR Newpaper

The news stories all mention that his wife sent the ransom to a family member. That's odd, no?

Did anybody hear of an update here? I read where there is a real cloud over the situation as the morgue never had the body, the police are being silent, the ransom is suspicious. My interest is as both a 5Dimes account holder and general curiosity since I spoke to Tony a number of times over the years.
