5dimes NBA win totals

Have been told for weeks (?months) via chat that these would be graded as cancelled once NBA season had been completed and they had confirmed that all regular season games would not be completed.

Now they are saying that any bet that "had a chance" to go over or under with the 8 games left will be graded as action.

Totally insane decision as most teams will only be playing ~70-73 games out of 82. Every other book graded win totals as no action/cancelled as far as I can see.

Also, no message or announcement of this till now, which makes me think they waited to see what decision would be most profitable.

Anyone else run into this? Worth an SBR complaint?

I hear ya. Books been sitting on futures with no real reason.

I love 5dimes, but that’s crazy. I really thought they had some sort of minimum games played requirement on any win totals. However, I checked the copy that I made of all of their NBA futures lines and they did not specify a minimum. It’s a bit cheap on their part to grade it that way, but I guess it’s their right given that no minimum game amounts were specified.

if they wanted to be fair they would've either graded by win % or let all of the ticket holders know before the seeding games started how bets would be graded.

The fact that they did neither tells me this was a profitable change for them and they knew it.

Very disappointing from a "A+" sportsbook. Have several pending wagers so probably not worth it to complain to SBR as I fear retaliation BS.

Weird to say cuz he could get out of line I've heard, but 5dimes was much much better run when "Tony" was still there/alive.

  • Yeah, I've noticed some slippage in 5Dimes customer service. I had a winning horse bet under the 10% extra program and they didn't pay me the extra 10%. When I complained, they said it was graded correctly - no explanation. It was only a lousy 50 bucks but it ticked me off.

Betonline has become my favorite book. I had the Raptors at 8-1 to win the Atlantic. I was bracing for them saying it was "No Action" because of a shorter season but they paid it out as a winner.
