Dan, if you can't find the official start time, pay him half the bet and move on. This is puzzling and not like a horse race. I've dealt with past-posters before, but this doesn't seem to be the case according to your description.

it is now more of a how do we know what time it actually started and where do we look a quest at the true answer has begun. I paid him and it tasted horrible and 10 minutes later he sent me an amazon gift card for the exact amount and told me to buy something cool for myself or family!

But even with all that said, THIS IS NOT OVER! still want help, anyone

If the burden of proof isn’t super rigorous, all you would need is a Lakers or Pelicans fan who dvr’ed the game. They would have started recording at 9:30 pm, let’s say, and then they could check to see how deep into the recording the game starts...

it is basically 10 to 12 minutes after the start time.. 7 pm et game....starts about 710 ,i rarely see them start earlier ...

Good job! Even with you cluing that there was a clock somewhere in the picture, it took me a long time time to find it. I don’t know how you found it without the benefit of knowing it was there!

it worked this way this time thanks to rook but I still think there has to be an official scorers card or something that they publish online. if anyone knows let me know I would like to have that

What you you are looking for has another use as well, which I am also interested in. I think the might be some useful information to be obtained if, for instance, killersports nba start-time parameters were actually existent and accurate...

Another consideration is that Danny green scored a 3-pointer 17 seconds after tip-off, so it is quite possible for your friend to have taken the Lakers after they already established a 3-0 lead...

no he texted me at 18 after, the bet was legit, the argument was more over the exact start time, I dont think we ever really cared about the money

I still want a real reliable source for this

thank you and I generally agree but there has to be a official game log or something

Here you go , straight from vegas ....they don't have an official site for tip times, what the book does is use the bon best official times,if the game is not on tv or have the broadcast they lock out at scheduled time...if its on tv they lock out whenever they see the tip off. Seems barbaric but he should know.

well Donbest has 917 and we can see from the video was 918 so I guess they are close but not accurate.

I also think closing the line is one thing but dont they have like a scorecard that the NBA puts out, showing points and play by play. you know like an "official" game log

am telling you what he told me....that being said, i watched the knicks game last night , tip time was 710 but on my cell using this official world clock it said 711 , then using the time on the tv it was off by 4 seconds, so your 917 and 918 could be basically seconds different

I believe there is a real source to an official game log.

Agree with Jets. Dan, you're assuming all reported time is gospel. What is the most accurate time device? I'd bet on the atomic clock versus any other.

When splitting hairs, they won't be always precise. The DRF, allegedly the horse racing bible, makes many timing errors. Do you just accept it??
