Purdue to start David Blough this Saturday at QB

Sounds like he might be more of a game manager type QB and I guess he is a pretty good runner. I don't think we see that BGSU/Purdue total go any higher. It may be tough to get 40 pts out of Purdue if they go conservative because the coach is afraid of turning the ball over.

Austin Appleby's turnover woes have finally cost him the starting job, and coach Darrell Hazell will turn to Blough as the starting quarterback for at least Saturday's game against an explosive Bowling Green team. Blough completed three of his seven passes in relief of Appleby on Saturday. Hazell emphasized ball security in his press conference Tuesday, which is understandable given that Appleby led the nation in interceptions through the first three weeks of the season with six picks. Blough, a freshman, likely won't be asked to do much more than manage the game Saturday to keep with Hazell's philosophy on limiting turnovers.

Seems like Purdue changes their QB every year.
