Directv are notorious for caving if you complain about pricing IF you've been a long-time subscriber. Call them and be honest - tell them you're thinking about switching providers, that streaming TV is the future and maybe you'll just jump on that train a little early, you just can't justify spending $395 (or whatever) on a league that's steadily losing viewers because of political issues... They'll cave and grandfather you in on the existing rates at worst.
The wildcard here is that I'm not 100% positive this still works since the AT&T merger... But I've "quit" many of their sports packages over the past 10-15 years and have always been treated fairly enough that I kept the service.
