Does anyone think its risky to have lets say 30-50k in there account with bookmaker? I love bookmaker and think they are the best in the biz but was wondering what others thoughts were on the safety of having such a large balance with a out of country online sportsbook

You're going to get lots of "it depends" type answers despite most everyone agreeing BM is about as safe as they come.

Some factors should include your personal comfort level, your net worth, how much you need to have there for your betting needs, if you are using a method like bitcoin that allows for quicker, larger deposits/withdrawals, etc.

Safer than having it with a local. Money is safe, BM is as professional as they come.

I would assume bookmaker would have accounts with much larger balances. They accept wagers up to 10k on almost all games even 20k on some, I might be wrong though. I figured there might be some big players on here with some experience with these types of balances

There are definitely players (here and in general) with balances that large. I have never once heard of anyone having a problem. That doesn't necessarily mean you should or will feel comfortable leaving that much there. That's mostly what I was trying to convey.

It's probably the safest US facing place to keep your money, but there is always some risk with the US gov't always going at them. They seem well diversified for that though.
I still keep a considerable % of my roll there all summer even though won't be betting much. I'd rather do that than dump it into bitcoin and have the value fluctuate.

The obvious answer is depends how much your net worth is/bankroll is. There are likely people with 200k balances in Bookmaker who as a result of their net worth are fine. If your net worth is 25k you probably shouldn't have 20k in bookmaker.

They are very solid but everything is subject to change.

If your net worth is 25K you probably shouldn't be gambling. :)

Obviously agree with your post and like the last sentence you added. It was once safe/advisable for Americans to keep large balances in NETeller, Matchbook, PokerStars, etc. Everyone got paid by those companies but things are definitely subject to change.

My net worth is -25K---- that's WHY I'm gambling...... or should that read, it's because I'm gambling.
