I keep forgetting to update the thread. I'm back in Vegas, and most of my days are pretty much the same. I play in every casino promotion I can, occasionally make sports bets, and play blackjack sparingly.
I used to write down stories of casino play, but the only thing I could say nowadays is stuff along the lines of, "I played video poker at Boulder Station for eight hours today, then I went home and played with my dog".
Still married after 2 years plus, she works at a hospital in town, and we have the words most adorable dog.
Went to Palm Springs this week and took some videos along the way. The first is of an abandoned town on I-15. Anyone who's ever driven from Vegas to L.A. has noticed a sign for a place called "Zzyzx Road". It's a dirt road that leads to a health spa that was shut down about 40 years ago, and it's still mostly intact.
Next is the infamous Gold Strike hotel, where I lived four summers ago. It's been remodeled somewhat, and there is a collection of famous movie cars. In the background at the end, you can see the VBJ machine that TBC used to talk about in his blog.
Also, there's a cool scenic overlook in the middle of the desert, and finally, an abandoned motel (with a really cool sign) in Amboy, CA. (Population 4)
341 Cleveland +12
The Gladiators are 1-4, but they could just as easily be 5-0. Have to think the oddsmaker is making this line based solely on the won-loss record of the two teams. It seems like there's zero interest in Arena, betting or otherwise.

I'm only betting this to be a contrarian. Every square in Vegas is on Cavs and over.
