Now my book has PSG -115 for the match and -.5 at -115 as well which makes no sense to me...is there something Im missing?
I'm sorry for not seeing this earlier Warrior,
The first one is the ML on PSG, which is part of regular 3-way betting (win, loss or draw) in soccer. The second one of PSG -0.5 at -115 is part of the handicap. One team is -0.5 and the other is +0.5. No draws are possible.
When you look at the ML for Monaco in 3-way betting, you'll see that they're around +330 'to win' but the Monaco handicap at +0.5 has a -115 price, because your bet also wins when they draw.
No I don't track it, but the first 3 weeks of betting I had considerable line value on a couple of games and lines moved my way on most games. Not surprisingly I made the most profit in those 3 weeks. Over the last 2 weekends, things have been a bit colder, line-value wise and profit-wise. So I'm dialing the plays down a bit, very busy with the NFL also. Soccer continues till the beginning of July this year with the Euros in France. So enough soccer left. Congrats on a great MLB season yourself!
Sadly enough, I think the Netherlands gets eliminated today:
Turkey +210
Turkey/ Netherlands to draw +230 (half unit)
-Big chance that this game will draw, thus insuring the Turkish win with half unit on the draw. Netherlands missing Robben and starting the unfit Van Persie. Not a lot of firepower up front.
9:30 PM
Curacao +1 -120
Patrick Kluivert trying to get an island of 130.000 to the World Cup in Russia. Curacao lost the first match here at home by the score of 1-0 to Nicaragua. They actually played very good, but simply missed their chances. It was a grim game. Those midget nicaraguans are quitte flammable on the field. Curacao HAS to win to go through to the next round. The quality of the Curacao players is there for them to win this game. Lots of guys called up who are playing in the Netherlands and also Premier League. Not that they're stars, but they're serviceable. Tommy you might have moved this line to +1 for me with your release of Nicaragua -0.5. I don't remember seeing Curacao +1 last night. I also think there's value on the draw here.
Wolfsburg defending a 2-0 lead while playing away at Estadio Bernabeu. Look for them to get hyper defensive and only to attack on the counter with 3 or 4 guys. Expecting a high amount of possession time for Real Madrid, but it's going to be hard to score on a 11 man defense. If RM doesn't score early, the +2 should be golden.
In the other Quarterfinal I'm expecting a PSG win against Manchester City, but I don't like the price.
Revving this one back up as I'm starting to prepare for Euro 2016.
Some nice matches today to decide the Cup Tournament winners.
To explain:
-In European soccer there are 2 domestic trophies in every country. The first one is the League Championship, where all teams in the league play 2 games (home/away) against each other. The team that gathers the most points over the course of these games wins the league championship.
- Then there are the Cup Tournaments. This is a knock-out tournament of all the professional teams in the country. 1st league, 2nd league, 3rd league, they all can qualify and compete.
So today sees the championship games for these knock-out, winner takes all, tournaments.
12:30 Manchester United -130 (F.A. Cup, England)
14:00 Bayern M?nchen -123 (DFB Pokal, Germany)
14:45 Juventus -172 (Coppa Italia, Italy)
Tomorrow Poland plays a tune-up game for Euro2016 vs the Netherlands,
This is mostly a fade of the Netherlands. They're playing for nothing, there's a crisis in the team, there's just not enough talent. On the other side I do think that Poland can make some noise in the upcoming Euro tournament.
Been mulling this a long time. Fact is that France has a formidable team. But it just so happens that stranger things have happened during the opening match of a big tournament. Look at USA losing at home in the Copa America this year and the world champions France losing to Senegal in the World Cup of 2002.
Romania will most probably play with 10 guys defending and they'll wait for the occasional counter opportunity. This means France will dominate the time of possession. They will also have the most shots on goal and corner kicks. But I think this one ends in a draw.
Romania +224
Romania/ Switzerland O2.5 +166
(the under has been steamed down to the point where there's too much value on the other side. Romania displayed an attacking style vs France. They actually surprised me there. Thought they would hang back like Iceland did against Portugal yesterday. They're not afraid to attack. This should be a fun match to watch. Switzerland doesn't have a world class striker, but their midfield is solid and should create enough chances for the over to hit.)
Really think these 2 teams will play to a draw. It's best for both of them. They both go through. even though Switzerland might play for the win to get the nr1 spot. The nr 2 spot in Group A might get Germany as their opponent in the round of 16.
France/Switzerland:
HT draw/ FT draw +317 (0.5 unit)
HT draw/ FT swiss +900 (0.2 unit)
