I'm tired of this site having absolutely no discussion. We've asked for it and now it's time to do something about it.

I will be the instigator, if there is genuine interest. Let me know if you'd like to hear insightful, meaningful, helpful, gambling information from the professional bettors on this forum. I need at least 20 "YES" comments to proceed.

Yes, yes,yes . But the only only way to do that is for someone to start. And what is meaningful discussion? To some that would mean, being able to ask why a line move is taking place and get some opinions. It appears to many people just post picks with no explanation. That is about as useful and productive as listening to Teddy Covers. It also appears that many feel their opinions have some proprietary value that prevents anyone else being let in on the secret. There are no secrets, just fleeting valuations that might meet up with the ever changing dynamics of sports betting on that one particular day.
To give an example. Let's pick3 runs. a game that piques my interest today. Stl and philly. Stl opened around 165, to me that is rediulous. Given the injuries, the way their offense has played since Hollidy went down plus the inconsistency of Lyons in his past performances, Stl louis should be in the 135 range. Aumont is a wild card. But Stl also has a history doing poorly against first time starters. My numbers say Stl is 60% to score under 3 runs. So philly is worth a small play.
Is that what you are looking for?

Did you ever come across a time in your life that you felt you've out-grown something EX: A person or something you enjoyed very much but not much anymore. These days that's what forums at least sports forums I can't speak about others have become. I travel a lot to different places and most have more discussions then here but the quality of the discussions leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not saying there aren't some good ones.

Forum time was fun and had a good run now it's a place where people will place a pick or two and that's it. 98% of the people that play are squares nothing wrong with that I consider myself one of the 98% Doesn't mean you can't grind out a little profit but as for discussions what would you like to discuss. Start a discussion on Metrics or analytics and how it's used in sports today and see how many replies you get. Take the forums for what has become of them and go with it they are opinions on who's going to win a particular game today and you know what they say about opinions. Every so often a topic is thrown out there and creates a good discussion.

Here's one to start you off lets see how many replies we get. Not just names but give reasons. We're almost at the trading deadline pick any team that your the GM would you be a buyer or seller and why and who would you want in return if your a buyer and what would you be willing to give up as a seller to be a contender a few years down the road IE: Houston, T.B. Cubs

There are people that are better then most in this game and work very at it hard and aren't going to discuss how they got there and the work they put into it. So in the end it is what it is . So to end this people want to gamble not talk.

There may be nothing cappers do worse than capping first time starters. They hear any hype and they go off as mid size favorites. They hear nothing and they are almost always dogs. It's almost an auto play against them as mid size favs and on them as mid size to big dogs. The hype may be right long term, but 98% go thru the same learning experience. The "hype" guys also have long scouting reports on them, the others, not so much. The only thing that turns me off of the no-hype first timers is this:

Aumont 65 IP, 41 BB. If you walk guys in the minors, you walk a ton in the majors. That will stick out on the scouting report and you will see patient hitters.

Excellent feedback on first time starters which I always happen to like as big dogs. As patient as the Yankees are there Rep and true (Don't know this year) they have trouble hitting pitchers they haven't seen live. I love betting first time starters as dogs it's auto for me.

    Edit: Dogs only of course.

What does one think of the ethics of opening multiple accounts at a sportsbook?

Anyone have any tips for this?

This could be an interesting topic OT, you already know where I stand as a Reds fan. As I've recently posted about this, I won't go into great detail, but I'm ready for a fire sale in Cincinnati. Cueto, Phillips, Leake, Bruce, Byrd, even Chapman. For me the only untouchables are Votto (largely because of his contract), and Todd Frazier (who, if the voting ended today wouldn't be starting the all star game, which is beyond fucked up with the season he's having), what I'm looking to get back are young players, whether they're major league ready, or not, just as much young talent that Walt Jocketty can get. An example would be the offseason deal that sent Mat Latos to Miami for a young pitcher named Anthony Desclafani, Latos will be a free agent after this year, and the Reds weren't going to resign him, so they flipped one year of Latos for a good young arm, and so far Desclafani has pitched very well, and has out-pitched Latos. Desclafani in 13 starts has a 3.36 ERA and a WHIP of 1.300, while pitching in a hitter's park. Latos in 11 starts has a 5.37 ERA and a WHIP of 1.536, while pitching in a pitcher's park. Those are the types of trades that help you build a team, and that's what I'm hoping the Reds can do, move some pieces for young talent, while shedding some payroll, which would give them some financial flexibilty down the road.

This is the only forum, that I am aware of, where you have actual pros that do share some insights. So I would say: count your blessings.

& FYI: The current insights shared are already not given the appreciation that they deserve.

Ethically pretty sure you are in the wrong. But we are in sports gambling, there is no honor among thieves so we continue.

Some books this won't help you (those with quality line movement software that happens automatically). For the ones it would help you to have extra books at same place (5dimes comes to mind), you'll have to have friends who open these accounts, and you probably don't want to be pounding from the same IP address you previously crunched them at. Who knows what Tony is liable to do to you if catches you doing this.

If you have the same book and are using multiple accounts to circumvent limits, and often betting the same stuff its very likely to get you booted/collared.

So my question is why are you looking to sign up with multiple users and for what purpose?

Whose ethics? I've mostly found winning/pro gamblers (real ones) to be incredibly ethical and trustworthy. As opposed to books, (especially licensed ones like in Vegas and Europe) who more tend towards criminal.

The want to be lazy and instead of managing their lines only accept bets from retards, then they will have to deal with getting bets from my mother in law.

I'm sure Fred Swindell and Leviathan Davies are both turning in their graves now to see what bookmaking has become.

In 1866 the first American bookmaking business was established in Philadelphia

As fantasy continues to rise fewer and fewer folks will be seen around here, myself included.

Just far more entertaining in my opinion and fun to play.
