I don't have a strong opinion, but if forced to choose I would probably take Diaz. I'm sure Conor will take it to him early on, but I doubt he can put him away. All the guys Conor was putting away in a round or two during his meteoric rise were 145ers. Diaz is a big 155er and the fight is at 170 again, that's a huge difference. And on top of that Diaz is extremely tough to put away. It can be done (see Josh Thomson) but I doubt that Conor can do it, and I'm not sure he can keep up the pace if the fight goes into the 4th and 5th rounds. Conor would be much better off if this was a 3 round fight. I also think Diaz has a large advantage on the ground if the fight goes there. Diaz is happy to stand and trade with anyone, but he's also a high level BJJ black belt with nasty submissions. Now that I'm thinking about it, I actually kind of like over 2.5 rounds at plus money. I'm going to look at that one some more.
