Misgraded Plays: Poll

Hey, all ppl make mistakes. Atleast a couple ppl here don't think they do. In this poll I might be inferring more than miscues. Here we go. Let's use 2 years as a time frame.

While betting online, what % of grading errors were in your favor and what % against you? I'm assuming the correct result was eventually posted. IOW, no "sleepers".

    whats a sleeper?
80% have been against me, usually with an angle.. 2 years ago SB prop comes to mind. I had under catches for someone, he didnt get thrown 2 but played a couple of downs. graded na its bet grading, there should be 0 mistakes

"sleepers" should be counted in also. They are when they you get credit for a loser and take the low road and accept it. Something they overlooked in your favor and never corrected.

No idea, I'd guess it's 50/50 though. Haven't seen any evidence books are systemically trying to fuck players. It's usually just incompetence. I don't check the results on a lot of stuff so I probably miss a few from time to time.

You don't check your figures every day? That surprises me.

I check the figures and I track all the bets, but on props or othrer small stuff I don't feel like checking personally I will usually take the sportsbooks grading as the result. So if they have something wrong I may very well just record it as what they have.

I have one particular shady PPH that I'm certain deliberately screws me, because I've probably had 50 misgraded props there over the last few years and exactly 2 were in my favor, all the others went against me. (I only play there because the risk/reward is worth it.) They are low volume enough that I'd guess I was the only person to bet a lot of those props, because they never correct them on their own and I have to contact them.

If you play at a huge shop like BookMaker or 5D they hardly ever make mistakes. Hasn't happened to me at BM in years.

twice i told my local about the miss grading. i am honest but if u are a winner or small winner this will def get u brownie points. The only time i dint was on a skin of this cunt out of Raleigh's network that never stopped a bet if the line moved against me but would always change if not in my favor. Idk how they programmed it, but every 1 out of xxx bets would move a half point against me, even if it moved no where else on the planet i literally bet the Raiders 1 night hammered at 5am on a Wednesday morning and it tried moving it a half fucking point fuck them.

Earlier this year Heritage misgraded a Nascar to win race bet.. I called once the race was deemed official they "looked" into it and correctly graded it as a win within 30 mins..

    Funny shit, Raiders at 5am

I got a book, mis-graded one golf matchup 3 weeks in a row, 2 of the weeks the guy I had won the tournament, one was Euro and the other was PGA Tour. Of course, line manager was jacking with me, can't make this stuff up. Same book, call and get the line manager on the phone, tell him, you guys still have me on confirmation delay, why? He tells me, hell I don't even look at that any more with all of the line moves this year. I can fix that for you. HA! I say think you, you name is dick right!

It's not not hard, easy to program that.

This thread's replies pretty much concurs with my online and local grading experiences. The solid shops rarely make mistakes, i.e. CRIS. The pay-per-heads(PPH) are the absolute worst. One I dealt with in CR gave the night crew strict instructions on grading. Something like, "when in doubt make it a loser until claimed/proven otherwise." They'd plagiarize lines from other shops and wonder why they can't beat them. The locals are almost as bad. Their famous line when they quit dealing a particular type of bet is, "I really don't have time for these exotics. You can play all you want on the sides though."

I'm still curious why the Mods or the house guys haven't chimed in here?
