Pete Rose HOF?

With Selig out and Manfred in, Charley Hustle's chances of being on the ballot are looking better each day. Being that the All-Star game is being held in Cincy this year......you never know.

The Yankees are retiring jersey #s like crazy. #'s 1 thru 10 are now locked up. The latest are Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Pettitte and Randolph. WTF, why not Curt Blefary or Horace Clarke?

ESPN is running a poll titled "Is it time for MLB to forgive Pete Rose?" So far there are over 150,000 votes and the results are; yes 82% no 18%, the public is overwhelmingly behind Pete, and Ron you make a good point about the All-Star game being in Cincinnati, it would be a great time to finally put him on the ballot.

With Giamatti and Selig gone his path is a lot easier. Gambling still a no-no in Mlb, but pale in comparison to the 'roid scandals.

Have they got room for triple digit numbers on their jerseys? ;)

Bookie: "Okay, Pete it's time to settle up this week."

Pete: "I don't have to pay."

    Bookie: "Why not?"

    Pete "I'm Pete Rose!"

    Val wouldn't tolerate that.
There was a "Casino" character(real) that would bet both sides with different outlaw BMs and hope for a good run on either side. Collect and not pay the other.

    Ron,

Wasn't that how Pete got caught betting on baseball, stiffing a BM?

Could be Octan, but every bet made by his runner John Franco and to that office was paid. His play amount was exaggerated.
