    1. Why would the guy that figured out the glitch tell anyone else?
    2. Why would the guy press his luck by winning 8 large jack pots (all at the same casino) in a couple of hours knowing the odds of this were a trillion trillion to one?

Dude had a money printing machine and blew it.

Very interesting story. Thanks for passing it along. I think a person deludes himself into thinking it isn't cheating when the machine gives him the money without him using a device to alter the inner workings of the machine. Sooner or later, even with some restraint being exercised, a casino would get wise to this. They simply do too much comparison of how much machines are supposed to pay and hold. When aberations appear, it will get someone's attention. Nevertheless, should never have let the other guy in on it.

    20 years x 52 weeks x $10K = $10.400.000,-
If he had been quiet and moderate about it and designed a plan to diversify his action to as many machines as possible in the country

    What a dumb f##k!

    !

True. But 52 weeks? I'd take at least a couple of month long vacations a year.

that was my thought..clear around 10K a week, lose some on blackjack other slots...make it seem somewhat believable.

Take a vacation to a place where they have the machines....come home after 2 weeks with money to spare.

Greed will lose you your house, while discipline buys you a house.

How about we stop trying to apply logic to someone with a gambling problem. Pretty easy to type on a message board the smartest thing to do, totally different when this situation pops up in real life. While I may know that the slow bleed is the way to get the most money out of the situation it would be awful hard for me not to grab as much money as I could while in the situation.

Lumpy has a point, he was using the same logic/lack of logic that led to him "earning" his own replica of the machine from the casino

The way this joint is going, one of the mods might haveta apply for unemployment:) Anyway, slow Monday and I feel like some controversy. Let's start with the above post by a sharp dude(Obi One). He needs to put down the calculator and step into the real world.
Obi, this scam has been going on for almost 7 years and you are making projections for a 20 year life span? NFC. With the plethora of W2-G's flooding the industry and the IRS under 1 or 2 names will draw a red flag. A sharp "Eye in the Sky" surveillance team will eventually catch the glitch when the individual/s become "hot". Many of these guys upstairs are too busy looking at tits rather than some dysfunctionate banging away at a VP game.
So contrary to the belief here, the only plausible way to give this scam some longevity is to hire a small team with multiple IDs and disguises. Either way it will come crashing down later rather than sooner.

I hope there was some sarcasm involved when writing the above. Wouldn't put myself in BG, Groovin, Durito, Dr.H, Procap, Stevie or Ed's league just yet. Still come here to learn everyday. I'm sorry for being shortsighted and out of touch with how things work in Vegas' casinos (or other casino's for that matter).
