Prop Bets and Stat Corrections

At what point are player prop bets considered final? Specific example, if you took a WR under 100 yards receiving, and his stats get adjusted on Tuesday from 101 yards to 99 yards, are you able to cash a winning ticket or is it final statistics as of the completion of the game?

Has anybody seen anything on this or know if there is legal precedent?

I'm clueless, but as a general rule, sportsbooks should honor any stat or score change made on the day of the event. Beyond that, I can't imagine many books would make scoring changes retroactively, certainly not in Vegas. But offshore books might operate differently.

I found this from LVH's Jay Kornegay following the bizarre Utah-USC game a few years ago:

"If something is changed on game day, whether it's a score or a stat, we're obligated to change that number," Kornegay said. "But if it's something that changes after game day, then we do not recognize that change."

In my experience offshores generally will not change prop gradings based on Tuesday stat corrections.

That's true Goats, but playing into PPHs or small stores are iffy. You are at their mercy with little leverage, especially if u r beating them. Many stories that would make ur head spin. Here's one. I bet Rick Santorum to beat Romney in the Iowa Caucas. At the end of a long night, the head Iowa rep declares RS a 34 vote winner. My account was credited. 2-3 weeks late USA Today reports a recount and Romney wins. They reversed my win to a loser. My Spanish wasn't good enough to argue. The out is soft so you suck it up.
